Quaint local, very inexpensive. Meat is prepared directly on the charcoal grill and tastes great with the herb butter and hot sauce. Baked potatoes with quark very recommendable!

Super tasty meat dishes, offered with house herb and curry butter. In addition, a fiery hot sauce. Fortunately, you can determine portions "yourself", ie normal and smaller. I ordered Rostinis as a side dish and a small house salad. If I hadn't been so full, I would have ordered another round! Highly recommended, meat excellently grilled! Encore !!! We (a couple) tried to walk-in early in the evening (18h). Admittently we didn't make reservation since we were just passing through. But It was Very calm, maybe 6 people in the whole restaurant? So there were lots of table availabe. Annoyingly we were intantly met with a lady rudely shouting "kein reservation, kein platz kein platz!." Would not recommend as a foreign tourist.

I do not know where to start. I think about the ambience. Very quaint and rustic furnishings. In my opinion, it fits the concept perfectly. It's calm and cozy. The service is incredibly nice, humorous and courteous. The chef knows his stuff and is also very friendly. Now for the important thing. To eat. The food is awesome. We had the lamb fillet, the turkey steak, the rump steak, as well as the side dishes. Side dishes were the baked potatoes with herb quark (definitely try), a mixed salad and bread, as well as the different sauces. The steaks were all grilled as requested on point. Everything high quality and fresh. We tried each other's dishes. It was all very good. The sauces, like the herb butter, are homemade, which is definitely more than positive. We'll definitely be back and the food is totally worth every penny asked.

I have seldom eaten so well; the meat, the sauce and the curry or herb butter; a poem. And there is a salad plate here that is second to none, you are served very friendly and courteous.

Very good and tasty steak, all the food is very fresh, We really enjoyed ourselves and sure we will be back.

We arrived at the restaurant five adults and three children. It turned out that there was a misunderstanding on the reservation and they realized we were only five adults and kept a table for five adults. We explained that there was probably a mistake and we wanted to add the children. The manager was very angry and said she was not ready to add the children. We tried to ask for another table and she refused and shouted, even though there was room. We asked for the children to join the existing desk, which we would huddle with but the manager of the place began to speak angrily and shouting and please leave saying that she was not ready to add the children. We realized that the problem was in children and not in place. Her husband came and said angrily that they weren't ready for us to eat there and banished us from the restaurant plus nice words. We came out humiliated from the restaurant, places booked in advance and it was not full, we realized that the problem was actually with the three children. Very disappointing and very humiliating, it is not recommended at all to come to the restaurant and especially not to come with children.

Today, after a long day of hiking, we went to dinner here in the evening for the snow. Very nicely furnished and cozy rustic room. We felt right at home. Had a rump steak that was very good and bigger for the price than expected. Top! the red wine from the neighboring community was also good. Service very friendly and attentive. If I'm in the corner again, I'll definitely be back.

Best tomohawk steak ever. Cooked over flaming coals. Years of experience you will not be dissapointed. Beautiful location. Don't expect to be waited on its old school but 5 star quality. Go with American oven fries and hash Brown's!!

The service was terrible. I waited 30 minutes for a stake. I found a bug in my wine and the waitress just apologized and said that can do nothing to prevent it, in a normal restaurant I shouldn’t have paid for the wine or even the whole meal.

Unusual: Steakhouse meets rustic Black Forest eatery. Anyone expecting a classic steakhouse will be surprised when entering the fireplace stub. In fact, it has more in common with a cozy old room. But you should not be scared of that because the steaks are really good. Each individual is grilled by the chef on the charcoal grill, which is located in the dining room. There are homemade side dishes and sauces and various herb butter.

Always delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

The place itself was quite quaint inside with an open grill where the meats are cooked, service was quick and friendly and always around when needed. The menu is quite straight forward, various meats that can be cooked on the grill with a choice of sides (wild boar chops, steaks, turkey). I could only rate the food as middling at best; I thought the meat was quite dry and overcooked and the flavoured butter wasn't very enjoyable. Sides were potato cakes which looked like they were bought frozen. No vegetables with the meals. Although it was a pleasant atmosphere and nice staff I wouldn't recommend the food, sorry. 🤐

Delicious. The venison and the turkey were great, the desserts as well, and the service friendly (though painstakingly slow, but we weren't in a hurry). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's traveling to those parts of Germany.

Nice Restaurant with nice service which is provided by the owners. Love that place and visited it two times. Love to go there again. The food is a 5-Stars class with fresh ingredients especially the meat.
